EYE Divine Cybermancy is another first person shooter game that is being released this year. Yes you heard it right, it’s a 2011 game. At a first glimpse, the game has the similar look and feel as half life 1, which is not a good thing considering how advanced our technology has become. The story takes place somewhere in the distant future where everything is dark or with little lights. You are part of a mysterious organization. Your job is to complete the giving missions and getting rid of enemies in your way.
The controls are pretty simplistic but could be confusing to many gamers. The gameplay is either frustrating and gets boring real quickly. The graphics, as you can see from the videos, are a bit outdated. On the positive sides, it does have multiplayer support and many elements of what a good first person should have. The game is not available in the stores, you can get it from Steam.
Conclusion: It does have many elements of a good first shooter, except they were not very well developed. A game that could be a lot more but falls short just like Duke Nukem Forever.
I was really surprised to see that the Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of The Lions is available for purchase at app store for your iphone. Mainly is because that I didn’t think Iphone is powerful enough to run the game but I am glad that I was wrong. Final Fantasy franchise has been one of the largest and longest running video game series for the last 20 years or so. There is a very good reason why a franchise like this lasted so long, because they always do provide great gameplays, graphics and sounds. Final Fantasy Tactics series, while a smaller compare to its big brothers, still provides very satisfying gaming experience.
I still remember, many years ago, that I purchsed the original Final Fantasy Tactics for the gameboy advanced. Although it only took me 2 weeks to finish the game, it was a very challenging and fun experience for me. In case you are not familiar with the Final Fantasy Tactics series, as you can see from the videos above, it’s a turn based strategy game. You usually will have a team of 3-5 members and each member takes a turn to either cast a spell or attacks using your weapon. The storyline is also well made along with enjoyable dialogues. You will also get to try out many different classes of weapons and spells.
Conclusion: While the gameplay is mostly the same as any other Final Fantasy Tactics series, the convenience to be able to pull out your phone and start a high quality game like this is almost dream come true.
